I am messing around with a simple voltage booster circuit and I'm not sure why I am generating some stupidly high voltage across the final capacitor any help would be appreciated

Thank you for publishing this. I am enjoying these very much. Is it because a voltage regulator is needed?

I'm not too sure. I just don't understand why the output of the capacitor exceeds the output of the voltage booster

These circuits are not known for the current flowing through them. The capacitors are normally not that large also what did you do to that transformer? Anyway look at http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5315447764025344

Do you realize that the diode ladder creates DC, not AC, and thus the transformer would be a short cut.

Also, the coupling coefficient of a transformer cannot be greater that 1. This means that it does a perfect job of transforming power with no losses.

Ah see I was under the impression I would get Ac out of the circuit
