Automobiles have several signalling devices such as indicators, brake lights, hazard warning lights, headlights and reversing lights. This circuit demonstrates these signalling devices using basic components. Please note a transistor is usually connected to pin 3 of the 555 timer chip. * The SPST switch located below the headlight lamps controls the headlights plus the front and rear parking lamps. * The SPST switch located next to the headlight SPST switch contols the headlight high beam (two additional lamps) * The SPST switch located next to the 555 timer controls the reverse lights. * The two SPST switches connected next to each other controls the left and right front and rear indicators. * The SPST switch located in the middle of the indicator SPST switches controls the hazard warning lights. * The push button located on the top left side of the 555 timer controls the brake lights. * The SPST switch located on the left side of the 555 timer is the battery isolation switch.
