Automatic emergency light

This circuit detects when the power goes out and automatically turns on some white leds as emergency lighting. When the primary voltage source (such as a wall adapter) is on, the green led is dimly on. When the primary voltage source is off (ie the power goes out), the secondary source (4xaa batteries) is activated, turning on 4 white leds.

But in stand-by it consume 130mA x 12 volt = 1,56 watt. It's not few.

The general concept it what I was presenting here, but simply by moving the green led resistor, the power goes down to 120mW
