Classic transistor flasher circuit

Uses two transistors in back to back mode to alternatively switch the charging and discharging of capacitors. When the circuit starts up the transistor that switches on first will cause a discharge in its adjacent capacitor. When the one capacitor is discharging this raises the voltage on the base of the transistor to switch on one LED as well as charge the second capacitor. This then repeats the charge/discharge cycle of the second capacitor turning off the first LED and turning on second LED.

The circuit layout is not too bad, the component selection is poor and the circuit description is incorrect.

Yes my circuit description is bad I didn't bother to think about it... the component selection is on purpose... I'm reality no component is exactly the way you anticipate so I adjusted the components to see how it affects the overall circuit... I found that having the components at exact values cause the circuit to stop working...

ElectroDroid, lists every resistor value up to 1/2%. That gives you plenty of scope.
