Start Sim with source grounded. Flip the switch to run the ground through the cap and stop and start the Sim to see the none bugged output.

Note amperage of sources at the start of the simulation. 4kA when connected directly to ground.

One can see this as bug. Its the problem while startup to calculate the DC op. This cause for the transformer which start not at 0V a high DC current. Anyway, you have demonstrated a good workaround with the cap. Keep it up!
