We dont need no 555 monostable

Press the NO button to start it. You can play with the capacitor and the resistor. This works only in this simulator since in reality you don't have that much control over the parallel resistance caused by the capacitor leakage (Vloss = 0% here). I believe a Schmitt trigger is also needed if it would ever be used in digital logic.
