This is a bad idea. Dwight count the number of combinations, using the formulas of combinatorics. 8! = 40320. picks for five minutes.

But the order seems to be not important, so the number of combinations is only 2^8=256.

But if we can lock the electricity? And we can expand it!

Yes..Its a bigger combination lock tho

Ok updated to 10 nodes and now 10! = 3628800 passwords

@hurz No, it has to be the same.

"Same"? What i can see is, it doesn't matter from were i start. Left button or right. Start from left i have to flip a coin ten times to guess the passcode. This makes 2^10 = 1024 combinations.

Oh it is?

Probably its easier to understand if you think this circuit with just two switches. 2^2 are 4 combinations. Or three, to not get in trouble with (2!)

Okay. then what about counter locks using counters?(you know, using with 8 segment leds)that would have 16 combinations in one counter so 8 counters-combi lock's combinations will be 8^16=2.8147498e+14.Am i right?

8 counters each 4bit are in total 32bit. 2^32=4294967296

But much compact and better. right?

So we calculate them with bits?
