Shortening (very little) broken heater wires to fit in clamping bolt and thread through remaining insulators did not work very well. The amperage went high with more heater wire glow than I bargained for.
The new electric heaters age, the hot air output is warm air output then mostly noisy fan.
1500 watts= 120 volts times 12.5 amps.
So, at operating level, 120 volts= 9.6 ohms times 12.5 amps.
I am thinking of shortening older heater wire and checking with clamp on amp meter to see if it brings heat output level up.
Any ides or methods others have tried?
