RC filters between decoder and 7-segment display smooth out the seven voltages, producing soft switching of display segments. Notice how EveryCircuit detects digital and analog voltages and animates them accordingly.

Yeah is very nice, but two or three counters later and you run out of space, instead of adding all this resistors and capacitors, it would be better if the developers made it a select able option so we can utilize the so very small board space for other components. Also why the developers don't make the components foot print smaller or give us a bigger board, look at the size of the op-amp, it's huge.

Very soothing :) Igor can you offer any suggestions when dealing with fast digital switching? The 7seg really lags unless its internal resistors are reduced to minimum
