Try setting the "must operate" voltage of the relay to 800 or 900mv. Does that give you what you want. I'm just guessing.

I do to. The relays are a great addition to the study of electronics in EC. When I began my career, quite a bit of switching duties were handled by relay technology, unlike today. However they still are a good launching pad for the beginning technician.
