14.4V supply and capacitor coupled 8Ohm loudspeaker is a voltage swing of +-7.2V in best case. 7.2V²/8Ohm = 6.48Watt for DC or rectangle output. For sinewave its just 3.24Watt. But 7.2V swing is unrealistic and you might get with a boostrap for the PNP transistor at the push pull stage 6V swing results for 8Ohm load is about 2 1/4 Watt! Anyway, i like this kind of amplifier, cuz its the best compromise out of complexity power and performance.

Thanks for your advised feedback. In fact the max swing is + - 5V w/ a little distortion. This is 1.5W in 8 ohms. The bootstrap helps a bit.
