Help! will this really work when i put it together? got 2.7V on the first LED and it´s listed at 1.35v and 100mA IR light-diode for use as a head-tracking transmitter for use in games/simulators

Where is the problem ? For each LED you get 1.36 V and current is 107 mA. That's perfect :)

i got 2.71V on the first LED, i´m a total noob when it comes to circuits so i just want to be sure that i don´t fry the first LED with this circuit :)

I would think the receiving ir diode would only respond to its specific frequency. Thats to keep interference out like tv remotes. Also with use of frequency, the receiver can calculate changes in direction and orientation of the transmitter.
