Resonant LC drum circuit

Electronic drum sound uses parallel LC tuned circuit, excited by trigger pulses. The top pot adjusts the Q of the circuit, this determines how quickly the oscillation dies out, this can therefore be used to vary the decay time of the drum sound. The oscillation frequency is determined by the values of L&C, for a 500mH inductor capacitors between 100nF and 10uF should provide a good range of drum sounds.

Any ton document about this (sorry) flat drum sound?

Can be improved a bit by distorting the signal, whereby at the peak more harmonics are added to the basic drum sound. Is not the best drum circuit but shows what is possible with very simple circuitry ( Early analogue drum machines used these type of circuits )

Im a amateure drummer. You should read a little about harmonics/overtons of drums.

I agree they sound nothing like real drums, you either like these sounds or hate them! I dislike the idea of synthesizers being used to imitate real sounds. Electronic circuits make their own sounds, that are distinct. If you want real drums get someone who plays real drums, if you like real instruments get someone to play the real instrument. However if you like weird unnatural sounds then use electronics to make sound!

You called it "LC drum".
