Strange configuration

Just a few things to make the 555 more efficient. The cap in parallel with the power supply isn't needed in this type of oscillator. Need to attach the open end of the pot and lower the led current limiting resistor to 100 ohms or so for the led to glow. Kind of like this_ _https://everycircuit.com/circuit/6619568167190528
