Dickson charge pump driven by 555

A 555 astable multivibrator sends a pulse train to two CMOS inverters (to make sure both rails gets equal Oomph!). Those two, equally powerful anti-phased, signals are then fed into the two "pump lines" of the Dickson charge pump at the top. That's the plan anyway.. The inverters don't seem to do what I expected them to do.. but the output voltage still rises.
