Start up draws too much current so the cap on the left is first charged by flipping the dual position left. Once charged reasonably close to 5v flip the dual position back and pulse the top left switch.

As so far it's ordinary "walton cockroft" pumped gizmo but surely not marx...... ( or maybe it's Engels lol)

I didnt say it was a marx. its a front end, source, input, first stage. ect ect.
