This is just conceptual and is not in any way something you'd want to try. It's very simple and doesn't have any protections. A good booster will have a low battery shutdown protection, also an overvoltage and current limiting, a few lowpass filters here and there and a short circuit protection (to say the least). The only good thing about this is that it doesn't draw a full current at no load condition, so if this were to be interpret as an amplifier class, this should be class AB.
