Also known as a Super Diode, is another method of Half Wave Rectification. This circuit can actually implement a Half Wave without having a voltage drop from the un-ideal diodes. This is the case in lower quality power rectifiers (sometimes it is okay and other times the device really should have a better quality PSU).
