This is a quite Elegant solution for a Programable digital UP and DOWN timer.
This circuit runs up and down from a free of choice 2-digit number.
That means XX->00 or XX<-00
For time set up use the up and down tap buttons.
The switch from the inverter delivers currency till 00.
If 00 occurs the device stops if the hot switch is on.
Otherwise it keeps on going.
The 555 has been set up for convenient testing on my iPad 2.
You can change the resistor on the trigger of the 555 to match your desires...
