Pwm voltage control - pulse width control

VCO voltage control oscillator on pin 5 of 555.
Pin 5 will vary the frequency of the oscillator due to a change in voltage at the pin.
PWM pulse width modulator on pin 3 of the 555.
Pin 3 in this configuration change the pulse width by varying the reference to ground.

I used a bjt  & a MOSFET to show there is little different at the output, a MOSFET is 
More suitable for high speed switching application and the bjt is more suitable
For voltage control application.

This was just for fun, using a 555 can be a building for lots projects.
