From Forrest M. Mims Engineer's Notebook Volume 3. Time on = 0.693 x (Rtop + Rbottom) x C. Time off = 0.693 x Rbottom x C. Frequency = 1.44 / ((Rtop + 2 x Rbottom) x C).

Didnt really use 1MOhm resistors did he?

@Addramyrz- actually I'm looking at that very notebook now, and the frequency of this circuit falls directly in accordance with the chart provided..
