Right inverter using pin 3 on the 555
Notice the wave form difference
When you close the switch.
Pin 7 is a better driver gnd reference
For mosfet devices and pin 3 is better
For BJT device. Pin 3. The engineer who
Design the 555 circuit was brilliant or lucky.
His work is still needed today.
