The MOSFET is in the wrong direction, it should be the other way. You also can connect the source to the +source, instead of the output, and it works as a digital function it makes it a "PMOS" and if you add a N-channel MOSFET to -source, it adds a "NMOS", PMOS+NMOS=CMOS inverter logic.
