This shows how FM works. The green line is the input, the blue one is the modulated carrier, and the orange one is the demodulated carrier. It may take a little bit for the orange line to start responding. In this demonstration a 555 timer and counter is used as a modulator, with the control pin of the 555 as input. After all, why else is it called the control pin if not to control the 555 timer? The demodulator is a low pass filter which changes signal amplitude in accordance to frequency therefore turning it to AM. After that is a basic AM demodulator (everything to the right of, above, and including, the diode). Please note that this is just a proof of concept and will not work outside the simulator for many reasons.
