LED current converted to voltage by current sense resistor is compared with reference voltage V1 < V2. If voltage on current sense resistor is less than V1, the upper MOSFET is on. Current increases lineary and when voltage on the current sense resistor is higher than V2, MOSFET is turned off. Circuit naturally oscillates keeping average LED current on set level.
