A multiplexer tracks information according to a binary control code. Usually it May be disabled by not allowing any transmission at all by setting 0 to both control signal. Otherwise input 1 pass when controls code 1 or input 2 pass when control codes 2. For control coding 3 no input is allowed to pass unless another input is present and the circuit is slight different.
