Super Mario Jump

"...might as well jump..." Van Halen I think I'm going to try and create a whole series of Mario World circuits just because it's fun. Here are some tips that may help it look better. Try squinting (or better yet, take off your glasses. Ha ha!) Try zooming all the way out, or hold your device at arms length. I appreciate the great work you put into your Mario Bros sprite series and your taste in music 👌. The colours and brightness are very muted, is it cuz the look difficult to recreate on EC's workspace due to the contrast with the wires?

I'm glad you brought that up, and I see what you mean. The wires and current flow dots do seem to interfere with the quality. I think another problem is dark shades of a color (like Mario's shirt) don't show up very well on a black background. I'm not sure what I can do about it, though. Feel free to experiment with the circuit, and if you happen to get any ideas, let me know 🙂.

How bright is the screen where you use this app, is it like turned up %100 on a Samsung phone? 🌞🫣 😁

Ok. I now see what you're saying. I opened my circuit in a web browser, and it looks way worse than it does on my Android phone! Honestly, I could barely tell what it was (and I made it!) I don't know why. My screen brightness is set at 30%

Lol lucky guess on my part. Did something change lately with your phone, your 300 and infinity animation circuits you did a month ago looks vivid and good

No, I'm using the same device (Samsung A32). I'm guessing that dim shades show up better on Android for some reason. I think I'll play around with making the colors brighter and see if that helps. What device are you using?

The reason I guessed Samsung cos the default settings of their screens are usually been known to be oversaturated for that vivid look, just like their TVs

Very interesting, and I think you're right. All the colors on my phone are more vibrant than on my PC. I never noticed that before. In fact, my 300 bookmarks circuit looks over-saturated on my phone, but much better on my PC (it also runs a lot faster, almost too fast!)

The only thing I can think of at the moment is to increase the current sources to brighten up everything. I don't know if it's helping or not. Does it look any better to you?

You've amended the current source here? I think it is brighter and easier to see the details of Mario when squinting. The colours are still washed out and muddy tho

I mean the greens are very dull brownish, yellows are a bit better but the reds look ok'ish, is this what you're seeing on your monitor?

Well, it looks better than that on my screen, although not great. I don't intend for these circuits to be taken too seriously; they are just for fun.

Looking at this circuit reminded me of that one TerminalMontage video. It was so funny 😂
