EEG device -referential setup

Electroencephalography (EEG) device. It consists of 4 active electrodes, one of which is set as a reference. Electrode outputs are low pass filtered prior to amplification with fc 200 Hz (anti alias filter). Signals then go to ADC which should have a sampling rate of at least 600 (ACNS guidelines).

Maybe you need mains hum notch filters? Or some type of common mode sensor & amplifier?

Agreed, a common mode rejection is necessary to filter out artifact shared across electrodes, and becomes increasingly important as more electrodes are placed
