Soft On-Off function switch for Arduino, ESP32 and other MCUs. Support soft switching on push button press. To switch circuit off, connect diode at left side to ground. Or connect the diode to MCU GPIO pin and set it to LOW state on power off command. Main power voltage - between 3.3V and 9V.
When circuit is on, switch state is available at junction between push button and 10 kOm and 220 kOm resistors. HIGH logic state on current meter that emulates GPIO input circuitry, represent the pressed button. If power voltage exceeds MCU logic level voltage limit, add the 330 Om current limiting resistor between junction and MCU GPIO pin.
Circuit section at left of second diode represents the MCU, powered by 3.3V (supports 5V too). DC step-down converter may be internal converter, LDO, etc. Bulb at right side is optional load powered from main voltage. To emulate soft switch off from MCU, press the second closed button.
