An auto bildge pump circuit with magnetic switch. The lower switch close first when the water come and the higher switch close when   foul level water then start the pump. And stop pump when gone empty following open switch first the higher and last lower switch.

Yes this is the best basic pump circuit, electronics were only introduced to alleviate problems caused by the switches failing to operate.
