I have used 2x 330 ohm without capacitors for a bunch of 4558's, seems to work alright.

What is opamps? answer: Everycircuit opamp already has power. That is why I'not use it

Do the caps offer a lot of improvement? Answer : A little bit. the current of the circuit is very low. It´s for use with opamp only.
