( OPEN ALL SWITCHES BEFORE PLAYING) Turn on power switch Turn on column of battery’s to charge Switch charge/discharge SPDT to change Battery charging RED LED will light when full charge RED LED WILL TURN OFF Switch SPDT to discharge Switch 2nd SPDT switch for either motor or led Note RED LED will not light if battery’s not connected even if charge mode is selected

USB powered for AA + AAA battery

do you know how to simplify two 100mF caps in series? Both together work like a 50mF single cap. That can safe space, cost and is good for a better overview.

Yes u could put just 1 capacitor but circuit it meant to show 2 x AA or AAA in series

2x 1.5 cell battery or capacitor in series has output of 3v but capacitance stays the same but when in parallels will be 1.5v with double capacitance

2 battery’s in series don’t act as half a battery if they were rated 1.5v 800mah in series would be 3v 800ma but if we’re parallel would be 1.5v 1600mah

best to simulate accus is to use DC sources, i know thats hard to understand, 100mF are far far away from any capacitiy you like to emulate :p)

A 100mf capacitor is far smaller than a standard AAA battery, if I were to put a much larger capacitor in this I would be watching it charge for along time so put a small enough one to charge in about 30 seconds which NO BATTERY will charge that quick

The idea behind a DC voltage source is to make it change in its voltage and put the charge current voltage on a trace, i know not easy to understand. A charge cycle of a cap doesn't help a lot and cant be stoppt while charging. Whats also missing is an internal resistance, in both cases.

I’m not sure but are you talking about the internal battery/capacitor resistance, I’m not demonstrating battery’s I’m showing possibility’s of an op amp
dpw

And yes we know op amps come in different varieties too

More ops

Would use a lm3914 but can’t find that in options

thats a leds bargraph driver chip and not an OpAmp, anyway you need an Comparator. Whatever, you better make it less complex for you
dpw

Look at the workings of a dot/bar graph ic and u will learn it’s built from lots of comparators which is a use of an op amp so well done it’s not an op amp but could use rows of ops to take its place

you said "I'm showing possibility's of an op amp" not me. Remember? You did not talked about comparator.

and forget LM391x use something little flexible and modern, like WS2812 and attiny. Endless RGB LED vumeter programable as you wish.

I prefer the stm32
hurz

for a bargraph with any thinkable feature, a little atmel attiny85 does the job, no need for a STM32
dpw

I’ve not use those yet I started with arduino
hurz

but you prefer STM32, so so hmmmm after all your experiences. You mean, you had in the past some contact with stm32, only?

I first used an stm32 (blue pill on a rc plane for transmitting height speed direction which I also use the mpu9250 + bme280 + mpxv7002, nrf24l01 so needed the speed and memory that it offers so from that point I was converted
hurz

converted, yes! Quite a bunch of ready made toys and china sensors to play with. But the controller was stm32 and you have, if lucky a working wireless weather station in your garden. Mostlikely it was a prototype in all that chaos.😂

They work like a charm, great little Chinese products, great idea a glorified garden weather station is just what I need, I now think it’s time to put down you laptop and pot noddle if you catch my drift

yes, they are super simple to use
