DAC in the R/2R resistor ladder configuration. This type of DAC is more commonly used as it allows for the simple addition of bit resolution. Each bit doesn't require a weighted resistor value and can be instead represented with a R/2R complimentary pair of resistors

Nice 👍. Do you know the formula to calculate the resolution? In your example, the resolution is .625V per bit.

I defined it as Res = V(Rf/R)/(2^b) where V is the logic voltage, Rf is the feedback resistance, and b is the number of bits represented. For example Res = 5(2000/1000)/(2^4) = .625V. Given this, an 8 bit converter with this feedback should have a resolution of .039V.
