Yes, you could use this technic to remove e.g. drums from an stereo audio signal (for a playalong). This is only working if the unwanted audio is symetrical on both channels recorded. Only audio which is on left or right only will pass this circuit (subtractor). Drums and vocals are mostly symetrical recorded.
