Actually, I'm kind of self critical about the circuit myself. Wouldn't choose to built this if I have to. It might have some stability issues, mostly with overshooting, because the output voltage ia controlled by a shunt regulator. The op amp will overshoot in the beginning and the '' pull-down,, transistor will cause the output voltage to temporarily drop at power up. Also the output voltage solely depends on the same pull down transistor, and if it fails, the output will jump immediately to the full supply voltage. I just made the circuit while I was bored.

Ah ha, making circuits failsafe can be a problem.

Yeah, that's true. I've seen professional amplifiers, where a single drivee transistor wasn't ,, failsaved'' and when it failed it fused and shorted out the collector-base junction of the power transistors to the +VCC. Manufacturor error.
