This basic intercom circuit utilizes a simple duplex communication. It uses speakers that also act as microphone depending on the position of the talk/listen switches.
When not pressed, they are in listen mode or connected to the speakers. When one of the push button switch is pressed, the speaker is connected to the input of the amplifier which will serve as a microphone.
