This circuit shows the level of battery charge. Additionally it got a tap switch to check battery behavior under load. The two way switch is a self test! If all the diodes turn on in sequence the device is functional. It is designed for any 12 V battery . Uin is about 30v max. More will blow the led's. But it can be changed if you higher the emitter resistances for instance. To cover a wider range of voltages just add this Transistor circuit and take the wanted z-diode and you pretty much done. Enjoy!
