Your circuit tidied up. I place the led resistors between the battery and the led. http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6277994673078272

With a low value base resistor, adjust the led resistor to allow a led current of > than 20mA (resistor value = 470 Ohms). http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6033162209853440

The transistor gain is100. Adjust the base resistor to a value of led resistor (470) X 110 = 51.7k Ohms (use a 51k resistor). This will allow a steady state base current of approximately (led current / transistor gain + 10%.) http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5765164035211264

Adjust the time base to a value that will allow you to see what is happening. http://everycircuit.com/circuit/4931395053158400

Using the same principles, a lower power oscillator can be made. Notes; the diodes help remove spikes and thus stabilize the output. The base resistor will be closer in value to collector resistor X gain. The capacitor value will require adjusting to maintain the same frequency. This circuit is driving a FET led driver. http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6470760589950976
