Hello, I am really noob... could you tell me why you need the transistor? It works even without just current does not flow when there is no water... Where am I wrong? Thank you very much...

You've just mistook the base and connector (the middle and top pins). Also you should incrrease the resistance of your sensors or decrease the resistance of your power supply.

The noob is totally right: the transistor has no purpose.

You need a transistor to control a high current circuit using low current. In this situation transistor is useless because theres nothing to control. If u put a DC motor (water pump) instead of resistor with high resistance then you will need a transistor.
