Resistors in Series and Parallel

These are the diagrams of Series and Parallel resistors.

To calculate the total resistance in a series resistor, the formula is:

Rs = R1 + R2 + R3.... etc. 

For calculating the resistance in a parallel resistor, the formula is:

Rp = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3.... etc.
