If you missed first issue of POPULAR MECHANICS, January of 1902, the pull knob handle (ammeters) pull square shaft going through outer wall with back plate (adjusting screws in plate above buttons could be used to fine tune) pressing lower doorbell switch and pressing upper push turn on button for porch light outside and hall lights at the same time may be news to you. Now, lights is on and pulling lever again only rings doorbell. Old push button switches had one button for on and second button to push for off and buttons toggled each other when pushed. A wall rocker switch could be used as well. When done with lights householder pushes lights off. my art work is wanting, try: https://books.google.com/books?id=5z8EAAAAMBAJ&printsec=frontcover&rview=1#v=onepage&q&f=false And view drawing on page 155. Also, Radio "Valve" Transmission A New Development, on page 52 is more than my art level to show.
