@tjt263 your basic circuit configuration is ok. There are four basic problems, 1. You have connected a pulse generator instead of a power supply. 2. The component values are way out of specification. 3. The incorrect points are being monitored. 4. For a better look at the trace, adjust it to a 1second rate. http://everycircuit.com/circuit/4552986179403776
