This circuit shows Barkenhouse criterion. Even when external input power supply is off, we can stimulate it with a light jerk in phone and amplifier does the rest...

Power supply is not off there's + & - power supplies to that amplifier .....

BillyT, you r right in that sense.. Obviously power must be supplied else that cant be feasible.. I actually meant that we dont have to use external input as we use in most other cases, n amplifiers do its job...
