Circuit of a night light I have. I believe it has a triac... I tried to emulate it with the pnp and npn. The light sensor is replaced with a variable resistor. I think I got the circuit correct, it turns off when there is low resistance on the light sensor, and turns on when there is high resistance. I'm just not sure if it should be blinking. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks, but that's using a DC power source. This one runs off AC power. Unless the real one just blinks so fast you don't notice it?

You can run mine of a 9 volt battery, which makes it portable and safer, or a 9 volt wall adapter. And no, mine doesn't blink that you could see.
