Using a 555 timer to make an LED blink

Very good, but the led is not very bright. A current trace on the led resistor shows less than 6mA. Adjust the led resistor to 300 Ohms, the led is now brighter and current trace now show just under 20 mA. http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6273518959591424
