So... Er.. the family frequently places crap in the path of the remote beam to the TV(cups and such) so I made a box that bypasses around such objects as it mounted on the side of the TV. The Square wave is the remote input(IR activated transistor). it is then routed to an op amp to Boost the signal(simpler circuit without the amp is also possible albeit not as reliable..Top circuit) .. it then goes to a fet and the red LED represents the IR output thats literally attached to the IR input on the TV.
