Stop Electric Door Latch Buzz

This idea was to eliminate annoying buzz sound at apartment house each time the door was electrically unlatched (by using rectifier, copper oxide type, Schottky like diode) from a storage battery charger, to change AC current to DC current to pull door latch open. On DC, the bolt only move once each time the switch is pushed. If AC supply current is over 10 volts add 1 ohm resistance in circuit for each additional 10 volts. Or, use 6 to 10 ohm adjustable rheostat and adjust to click open one time each time the switch is pushed (shown as SPST to run simulator).
