Ok Let's get a couple of things straight. This circuit is built to demonstrate the concept of switching mode wall adaptors, and cannot be built in real life. Who even uses a logic gate and op amp for feedback? There are unacceptably huge voltage spikes at the drain of the MOSFET. That'll kill it. I'm not able to get rid of it though.

There are huge spikes at the drain of the MOSFET. A regular sunbber network doesn't seem to do the job. Any suggestions on how to dampen it?

You can lower the turns ratio. The closer the number of turns in primary and secondary , the lower the spikes.

Add a inductor in series(without flywheel diode) with the secondary to reduce current spikes. This will increase efficiency and decrease ripple. Flyback is the shittiest active converter and the cheapest except for buck and boost.
