First switch on the capacitor branch and bulb switch both. The bulb will start glowing after sometime indicating the capacitor charged amount. After charging to a considerable amt. Switch off the bulb. Now still the bulb will glow with the charge from capacitor. A shunt protection has also been given( I neglected cu loss.... forgive :) ).
