Have a question about EC

This is the Nelson Pass Amp Camp circuit as on DIY audio. Q1 Why, yet again, with this simulator is there negative gain? This circuit should have 14db of gain (5w output). Q2 The N type FET has the symbol of a P type, why has this not been addressed? Or am I mistaken?

Only this, dont ask in first instance EC. My recommandation, Ask yourself whats wrong with this amp. Q1, Only this, for EC 1V is 0dB ; 10V 20dB ; 100V 40dB ; 100mV -20dB ; 1uV -120dB. So EC gives db relative to 1V. Q2, i was at beginning also irritated about the symbol, but i think its correct. Anyway its only a symbol ;p

Thanks for the comment, not sure I understand your answer to Q1, dbv? That symbol problem caused me to scratch my head at first, it should be corrected on expensive software like this so ill contact EC about it.

dB without a unit is just a factor, e.g 20*log(1V/1V) = 0dB ; dBV, dBm, dBuV, dBa are all absolute values. E.g 0dBm is 1mW at 50Ohm which is 223mV at 50Ohm, and 0dBuV is just 1uV were 120dBuV 1V is. Hope this clarifies.

If @hurz spent his time constructively by posting respectful comments on users circuits rather than posting defamatory and condescending comments on users circuits that he disagrees with, EC would be a better place for everyone.

Everycircuit does not need charlatans like you Lenny, charlatans with bad intention who not paid for the simulator, just for the comment feature to build conflicts and terror. You are not interessted in electronics, You are a Troll

Nor does EC want obnoxiously condescending cyberbullies such as yourself...😡

@lenzrulz is nothing but a self righteous hypocrite with a pathological need for the last word with the futile belief that somehow his moronic and petty 'mike drops' prove him right.

Says EC’s most obnoxiously condescending cyberbully...😬
